"PASSION OF JOUVERT"

Music is a message; music is a mission; music is life. The gift of the Most High, spiritually omnipotent to man, is to enable us to grow and spread the seeds of His gift to all mankind. Nardo, who hails from the twin island federation of St. Kitts-Nevis in the West Indies , was born Bernardo S.E. Phipps to hard working parents, whose nurturing and disciplined approach to child raring allowed him to become the productive and talented man he is today.

Nardo attended the St. Theresa's Convent High School , where he became heavily involved in academics, sports and eventually music. NARDO was also a talented teen winner from which he launched his musical career. He enjoys promoting positive messages to people of all classes to understand that despite our cultural differences, we are all one people.

Nardo’s love and aspiration for music invokes the deepest sentiments of the heart and soul. His lyrics highlight the core of social issues, the expressions and concerns of the community and the glorification of life itself. He continues to write heavily for other artists in different musical genres since his exit from the Jam Band Style musical scene. He is currently working on developing a hybrid of two muscical styles. Stay tuned.

PASSION OF JOUVERT is a collage of songs from NARDO selectively chosen for this remix re-issue album of sixteen tracks to showcase some of NARDO's musical works. Ten tracks were recorded while NARDO attended University while pursuing a degree in Accounting and participating in Division 1 track and field. He was awarded The ECAC Scholar Athlete of the North Eastern Conference and Most Valuable Athlete for two consecutive years(sophmore and senior years).The tracks also includes a tune written for a former female lead vocalist from Nevis, Ms Cavelle Swanston. The remaining six tracks are a collection of his unreleased works after leaving the band scene. NARDO currently works for a top ten US Investment firm and owns and operates his own music publishing company along with his business partner from Trinidad & Tobago.

On the "The Passion of Jouvert Album", Nardo blends a diverse array of music as a singer,songer-writer and social activist. His main goal is to make a difference in the life of some if not all.
